Iron Prison

Iron Prison is a monolithic metal table conceived around a contradiction between enclosure and life.

Its exterior is deliberately silent: a closed, industrial volume with no visible indication of what it contains. Yet from beneath the object emerges an evolving soundscape of rain, wind, birds and moving leaves — fragments of the natural world seemingly held captive within its metallic form.

The sound is not presented as technology. No speakers, controls or interfaces are visible. Instead, it appears to belong to the object itself, transforming an otherwise static piece of furniture into something quietly alive.

Iron Prison explores the tension between confinement and freedom, between the hardness of the man-made and the vitality of the natural world.

The cage remains still. What it contains escapes through sound.
