Bad Kidz / Walk With Us

HUMANZOO brought music, film, fashion and movement together within a single world, unfolding across two connected films where genre-defying sound, choreography, performance and image became expressions of one idea.

Bad Kidz / Walk With Us began as an experiment in convergence.

Rather than treating music, film, fashion and movement as separate disciplines, the project brought them together as parts of a single world — unfolding across two connected films, Bad Kidz and its continuation, Walk With Us.

Its sound moved deliberately between genres: rock, hip-hop, electronic music and dance collided with large African percussion, creating something intentionally difficult to place. The films extended that same collision through performance, choreography, acting, styling and image.

Produced on a large scale with a multidisciplinary cast and crew, the project became an early exploration of an idea that would later become central to MONARCQ: that a world becomes more powerful when its different forms speak as one.

Released independently in 2018, Bad Kidz received Belgian press and radio attention, including recognition from BRUZZ, where it appeared among the publication's selected tracks of the week.

It was the first personal project created under the MONARCQ name — long before MONARCQ became the practice it is today.
